How We Started
Our Story
The Barn Dog Inn started the way most good things do — out of necessity and love. After struggling to find a boarding option we'd trust with our own dogs, we decided to build one ourselves on our family's rural property.
We opened our doors with just a handful of guests and a commitment to treating every dog like a member of the family. Word spread quickly, and today we're proud to care for dogs from families across the region.
Everything here is intentional — the small group sizes, the open pastures, the hands-on care. We believe dogs are happiest when they have space to run, people who genuinely love them, and a routine that feels safe.
Small by design
We intentionally cap our guest count so every dog gets real attention — not just a glance through a fence.

We send daily photo updates and are always reachable. You'll never wonder how your dog is doing.

Vaccinations are required, groups are carefully matched, and someone is always on the property.

Sarah and Tom founded The Barn Dog Inn after years of fostering rescue dogs. They live on the property full-time and are hands-on with every guest.
Jamie Reeves
Kennel Manager
Jamie has worked in professional dog care for over 8 years. She manages day-to-day operations and is the first face most dogs see at check-in.
